It processes your media locally and hands the result to WhatsApp — it never signs in to WhatsApp, never touches your chats, and never routes anything through a phone number or a bot. It has no access to your account because it never asks for one. Some apps in this category work by sending your video through a business number or a web server; this one does not, which is also why it keeps working when those services go down.

No. Importing, trimming, framing, splitting and encoding all run on your phone, and the exported file goes straight to WhatsApp or to your Photos library. The app records a small number of anonymous events about its own use — that an import happened, that an export succeeded, that the paywall was shown — and never any part of your media, your filenames or your contacts.

None of the three. There is no registration screen, no email field and no activation code. Open the app, pick a photo or video, export.

Photo exports are free and unlimited. Your first video export is free too, and after that video exports need Premium — available as a subscription or as a one-time purchase, with current prices shown in the app and on the App Store for your region. One export counts once no matter how many parts it produces, so splitting a long video into six parts is a single export, not six.

No, on any plan. Nothing is stamped on your photo or video at any point, free or paid. Several apps in this category watermark their free tier by their own description — this one does not have a free tier to watermark, because the output is the same either way.

No. No banners, no interstitials between exports, no ad SDK in the app at all.

The whole processing pipeline does — trimming, framing, splitting and encoding need no network. You will need a connection for the last step, because that is WhatsApp uploading your Status, and for a purchase or restore, which goes through Apple.

No. VividStatus is iPhone-only, and there is no Android version in progress. If you are on Android this app cannot help you, and we would rather say so here than after you have gone looking for it in the Play Store.

Any iPhone running iOS 17 or later. There is no iPad version — the app is built and tested for the phone, and the layout assumes a phone-sized portrait screen.

We do not claim either, and we would treat any app that does with suspicion. WhatsApp re-encodes what it receives and decides the final encode after upload; nothing installed on your phone changes that. What VividStatus controls is what it hands over: a 9:16 frame at 1080 × 1920 for video and 1152 × 2048 for photos, encoded once, cleanly, with the crop where you put it.

Yes, as ordered parts. The limit is officially 90 seconds since 2025, but plenty of people still see 30 or an odd cap like 47 depending on version and region — and whatever yours is, WhatsApp trims a longer video to it rather than splitting it, so the ending is simply lost. VividStatus cuts the clip into numbered parts sized to the cap that applies, shared evenly so no part runs over the length you chose and no part is a one-second stub.

They are numbered in the export list, and Status shows entries in the order you post them — so post part 1 first and work down. Post them back to back, because anything you post in between lands in between for your viewers too.

It hands the file over using WhatsApp’s official Share-to-Status handoff, which opens WhatsApp’s own Status composer with your media already loaded. You confirm the post there. Nothing is ever posted on your behalf, and WhatsApp needs to be installed for the handoff to work. You can also just save the export to Photos and post it yourself.

No. It is not a status saver and does not read anyone else’s Status. It only works on media you pick from your own library, your camera, or the Files app.
