It is a planning guide, not a reproduction of the live WhatsApp interface, which can vary by app version and device. A repeatable method
This is a placement check, not a framing check. The decision to crop or fit your media to the 9:16 aspect ratio should be made first. Once your composition is set, this tool helps you verify that important details are not at risk of being obscured by interface elements. A wide photo that has been fit into the frame still needs a safe-zone check, just as a full-screen 9:16 video does.
Make the decision before exporting
Enter your desired top, bottom, and side margins as percentages. The tool calculates the remaining central area in pixels on a 1080×1920 canvas. For example, an 8% side margin on a 1080-pixel width leaves a 907-pixel safe area. This calculation happens entirely within your browser; no files are selected and no data is sent to a server.
Practical target
A plan is successful when every important element is contained within the calculated safe area. The final verification requires posting a disposable test to your Status and viewing it on both the sending and, if possible, a receiving device. If any content is clipped or covered, increase the relevant margin in your plan and prepare a new copy from your original source media.
