A WhatsApp Status entry stops at a hard cap — officially 90 seconds since 2025, though many users still see 30 or odd caps depending on app version and region — and anything longer is simply trimmed off. VividStatus splits a longer video into numbered parts sized to the cap that applies, so viewers see the whole video instead of the first slice.

How the split works
- Trim first — A filmstrip trimmer with draggable handles cuts the clip before splitting, so you never waste a part on footage you didn’t want.
- Ordered, numbered parts — Every part is numbered in sequence. Post them in order and the Status plays as one continuous video for your viewers.
- Framed before splitting — Each part is already fitted to Status’s 9:16 frame — Smart crop, blur bars, or your own custom crop — so no part gets auto-cropped by WhatsApp.
- One export, one outcome — An export is one job, however many parts it produces. A 2-minute video is four parts of one export, not four separate purchases of your patience.
Why the part length varies
WhatsApp has raised the per-entry Status limit over the years — 30, then 60, then officially 90 seconds — but the rollout is inconsistent: community reports show users dropped back to 30 seconds or hitting odd caps. VividStatus sizes parts to the practical cap that applies on your iPhone, so a part is never truncated mid-sentence.
