A WhatStatHD alternative with no watermark
Updated 2026-09-08
WhatStatHD’s own App Store description says it exports with a light watermark. VividStatus never watermarks an export — but WhatStatHD does several things VividStatus deliberately doesn’t, and they are listed below rather than left out.
VividStatus is an iPhone app that frames selected media on a 9:16 working canvas, can divide video into evenly sized parts under its current 90-second maximum, and lets you open each prepared item in WhatsApp for review — entirely on device, with no watermark, no ads and no account.

Two different products, honestly
WhatStatHD is a maximalist app: compression, a music library, stickers, collages, AI captions, a status saver and a history list, shipped fast — its July 2026 release alone added captions, history, the saver and fifteen languages. If you want a Status studio, that is a real answer and this page is not going to pretend otherwise.
Neither app should promise what a viewer receives, because WhatsApp controls processing and delivery after handoff. VividStatus documents only what it writes locally.
Where WhatStatHD is ahead
- HDR handling — Its listing states modern iPhone HDR photos are handled. VividStatus currently converts output to standard sRGB, which flattens HDR and wide-gamut source material.
- Status saver and repost — It saves and reposts other people’s Status. VividStatus doesn’t do that job at all.
Switching questions
Does a VividStatus export carry a watermark?
No. A prepared VividStatus export is not stamped. The app processes your media locally and exports the final clips without adding any watermarks.
How many ratings does each app have?
As of 28 July 2026 WhatStatHD showed 4.3 stars from 6 US ratings. VividStatus is new and has none yet — neither number tells you much, which is why the table above compares features instead.
