The crop instruction, and why VividStatus doesn’t need one
PureStatus’s listing tells people not to edit or crop a video after compressing it, because the quality will suffer. For a two-app workflow that advice is sound: compress in one app, crop in another, and the file gets encoded twice.
VividStatus removes the second pass rather than warning you about it. Framing and encoding are one job — the clip is cropped or padded to exactly 9:16 and written once, and a long clip is cut into parts inside that same job.
Neither app can promise what a viewer receives, because WhatsApp controls processing and delivery after handoff. VividStatus documents what it writes locally, not a receiver-side guarantee.
