The crop instruction, and why VividStatus doesn’t need one
PureStatus’s listing tells people not to edit or crop a video after compressing it, because the quality will suffer. For a two-app workflow that advice is sound: compress in one app, crop in another, and the file gets encoded twice.
VividStatus removes the second pass rather than warning you about it. Framing and encoding are one job — the clip is cropped or padded to exactly 9:16 and written once, and a long clip is cut into parts inside that same job.
Neither app can promise what your Status looks like to viewers, because WhatsApp decides the final encode after upload. What VividStatus publishes is what it encodes to, not a guarantee about what comes back down.
